OBW Limited (OBW) is actively opposed to all forms of discrimination on the grounds of Race, Gender, Disability, Sexual Orientation, Religion or Belief and Age.

OBW will introduce measures to combat all direct and indirect discrimination in our employment practice and service delivery.

If any member of the management, or working partners feel we are not meeting the above aims, there is a complaints procedure in place.

Monitoring and Review of Equality and Diversity Policies

OBW Policy Manual is reviewed annually; this includes scrutinising the company E&D Policy to ensure that all the aims, principles and objectives are being adhered to.

Any issues relating to the company E&D Policy, which may occur on a daily basis, are raised with the Company Director with a view to resolving the matter expediently.

Recruitment and Selection

All OBW vacancies are advertised externally through the local Job Centre Plus.

Rehabilitation of Offenders: OBW adheres to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974, which requires offenders to give details of any convictions, which are not spent. Failure to disclose may result in disciplinary action or dismissal.

Disability Discrimination Act: OBW adheres to the Disability Discrimination Act 1995, amended 2005.

Race Relations Act: OBW adheres to the Race Relations Act 1976, amended 2000.

Equal Pay Act: OBW adheres to the Equal Pay Act 1970.

Sex Discrimination Act: OBW adheres to the Sex Discrimination Act 1975. For recruitment and selection purposes, all OBW recruitment panel members would have substantial and relevant recruitment and selection experience.

OBW has an induction programme for new staff and management.
